I am Dr. William R. Work and this is Ultimate Living Medical Clinic. This is a unique medical clinic in the San Joaquin Valley that requires some explaining so please read the following. Since you are already familiar with "normal" medical practices, I will tell you first what this clinic is not. This office is not a practice that makes you wait an hour after your scheduled appointment to then see the doctor or his nurse practitioner/physician assistant for all of five minutes, hoping that you can get your medical complaints addressed appropriately. This office is not a “gatekeeper” practice that refers you out to a specialist the moment you have a problem that cannot be fixed in two minutes. This office is not a practice that has strangers on call for the practice and is expected to care for you adequately on weekends. And this office is not a practice that makes you feel rushed.

This office is a concierge practice that allows you the time to make your needs known to the physician. You will be seen only by a physician and when you call after-hours, you will speak only to the same physician who examined you. You will never feel rushed and your appointments will be long enough to cover the problems that you wish to address that day (within reason).

I want you to feel relaxed in my office, which is why this office not only serves hot coffee and a variety of teas, but we also serve cold bottled water, all in a relaxed atmosphere. Music will be heard that ranges from the 1960’s to jazz to contemporary (all depending upon my mood and my staff’s perseverance (!)). You will never see me wear a tie, but you will see me wear scrubs occasionally (and he is still looking for some Rocky and Bullwinkle designs).

You will have access to Dr. Work 24/7 via phone and email. The easiest way to reach Dr. Work by phone is to call him at the office after-hours. You will reach a computerized answering service. Just follow the prompts and you will reach Dr. Work directly. If Dr. Work believes it is warranted, he will make housecalls. If you are suddenly taken ill or injured, you will be seen the same day or the next business day. And only a maximum of 600 patients will be members of Ultimate Living Medical Clinic at any given time.

We treat a range of problems from the usual chronic diseases, e.g., chronic intractable pain, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, metabolic syndrome, to the more unusual disorders that are more difficult to diagnose properly in a traditional setting, e.g., fibromyalgia, heavy metal intoxication, chronic fatigue syndrome, adrenal insufficiency, hypothyroidism and HGH deficiency.

We specialize in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for men, i.e., testosterone, and for women, i.e., estrogens, progesterone and testosterone replacement. All of these therapies are fine-tuned to provide you with the best in anti-aging medicine. Dr. Work is one of only two board-certified anti-aging physicians in the San Joaquin Valley and he enjoys assisting people in reaching their highest potential using whatever therapies have been shown to work. In addition to hormone replacement therapy, Dr. Work uses multiple other therapies that have all been shown to aid in the treatment of various conditions. These therapies include Ondamed®, Turbosonic®, iontophoresis for weight loss and pain management, IV chelation and IV nutritional therapies that have been shown to reduce the reactive oxidative stress load on your body to slow down the aging process with some of the known consequences of aging.

Most importantly, Dr. Work will listen to your medical problems and not tell you to “suck it up” or to “just grow old quietly” or think that you are just a hysterical person. Many hormone imbalances actually can cause mental dysfunctions including depression, anxiety, insomnia, excessive crying, suicidal thoughts, and even Attention Deficit Disorder. Thus, Dr. Work has learned that by listening to you and your complaints and then asking questions and doing a proper physical exam and laboratory testing, your needs can be more appropriately addressed. Rarely has he had to tell someone that there was nothing that could be done for their hormonal condition.

To allow Dr. Work the ability to actually spend time with you and not worry about “keeping the lights on,” the cost is $1500 per year in addition to your insurance co-pay and deductible. This comes out to $4.11 per day for the peace of mind of having all of your medical needs addressed appropriately, allowing you to stay in the best of health possible. Everyone must “count the cost” of what their health is worth to them. If you believe that your health is priceless and you are not happy with your current medical care, then we welcome you to join us. If this all sounds good, then we welcome you to our unique practice and know that you will be quite satisfied with the way that you are treated and with the results of your therapy. There is a 60 day trial period that allows you to “kick the tires” to see if this is an appropriate practice for you. If at the end of the trial you are not satisfied with the practice, we will gladly transfer your records to your former provider or a new one of your choosing. If you want to stay, then we will have you sign a registration agreement and set up monthly payments of $125.00.

We expect our practice to be filling rapidly as we are seen more on TV and word of mouth among our many happy and satisfied patients so do not wait too long. Once the practice reaches 600 patients, then we can no longer accept any new patients and can only take your name and number on our waiting list. If you become a trial member, you do not need to wait a full 60 days before signing if you want to make sure that you are on the list.
